New Plans for Celebrating Christmas and New Year’s
We recently found out that we are no longer able to rent John Hay on Sunday, December 25 and Sunday, January 1. So here are our new plans!
Celebrating Christmas with Parkside Church Westside
Parkside Church Westside is a sister Parkside church plant located in Lakewood. This year, they are celebrating Christmas with three services: two on Christmas Eve at 4pm and 6pm, and one on Christmas Day at 10:30am. All of these services will be identical, so you can pick which one of them works best for you and your family. They are offering nursery for the 6pm service on 12/24, but no childcare otherwise.
Parkside Church Westside is located at 16511 Hilliard Road in Lakewood, but the best place to park is across the street at Harding Middle School.
In addition to having the chance to celebrate Christmas with our friends at Parkside Westside, we hope this experience will be a cool way for us to get a vision for what a more “grown-up” Parkside church plant looks like, with hopes that God might continue to develop us down a similar path.
Celebrating New Year's with City Church
City Church is another church located in the Heights that is seeking to reach the community for Christ with the Gospel. They are celebrating New Year's with a Sunday morning service from 10 - 10:45am on January 1, 2023. There will not be any childcare at this service, but it will be a shorter service on account of this.
City Church is located at 2781 Euclid Heights Blvd. in Cleveland Heights. You can either find street parking nearby, or here is a map with some other parking options.
We hope that worshipping together with our brothers and sisters at City Church will be another reminder to us that we are not the only church seeking to reach the Heights, but that we have the privilege of working together with other Gospel-minded places in the same mission. As we have said from the beginning, we are just one voice in the Gospel choir.
God is in Control
We are really thankful for these sister churches accommodating us! And it’s a good reminder to us about what we always say: that church planting requires some flexibility😊. We trust, though, that none of this surprised God and that He has good things in store for us in this change. A few final thoughts:
