One Year Birthday Party!

One Year Birthday Party!

Join us this Sunday, January 22, as we celebrate all that God has done at Parkside Heights in the last year!  We held our first official service at John Hay on January 23, 2022 and it is neat to think of all that has happened since then. As such, we want to pause and thank God for His goodness to us in these last 12 months. After service, we'll have a time to share what you've seen God do, and then we'll eat cupcakes together. We hope you can join us to celebrate!

Want to go down memory lane? Check out these pictures from that first official service in January 2022.

Music & A/V Team Interest Meeting

We are looking for more volunteers to both play in our band and run sound and slides on Sunday mornings. If you have gifts in these areas and would like to learn more about serving with us, join us right after service on January 29 for a short meeting in the auditorium of John Hay. We will discuss what is involved in being a part of these teams and try to answer any questions you might have.

If you are interested in helping, but can’t make this meeting, please contact us and we’d be glad to go over the information with you at a separate time.

Host Home Desired - Samaritan’s Purse Children’s Heart Project

Samaritan’s Purse is an organization whose Children's Heart Project identifies children in different parts of the world with heart defects and flies them to the United States to have life-changing heart surgery. Two children from Mongolia, one 7-months old and one 1-year old, are coming to Cleveland on March 13 for their surgeries, and we are looking to see if someone from Parkside Heights can serve as a host home.

More specifically, we are in need of an individual (female) or family who has a heart for missions and hospitality, a desire to invest in children’s lives, and at least two extra rooms and possibly three extra rooms to host this group of two children, two mothers, and one interpreter for a period of six weeks. During the time of surgery and subsequent recovery,  the host family, with the support of the church will provide the basic necessities such as meals, transportation, and a loving home. You will also have the opportunity to serve this group and share the good news of Jesus with them.

If you'd like to learn more, here is a link to a video that highlights this ministry: Children's Heart Project - "New Hearts".  You can also watch other testimonies and personal stories of other children and families whose lives have been impacted by this ministry.

Would you be interested in hosting, or even just having a conversation about hosting? If so, please contact us.
