Holiday Plans 2023
Christmas Eve Service
Due to the Cleveland Metropolitan School District being closed on both Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, we are not able to rent John Hay on either Sunday, December 24 or Sunday, December 31.
With this in mind, we've made some alternative arrangements for the Holiday Season. On December 24, we will not be having a morning service, but will instead gather at 6pm for a Parkside Heights Christmas Eve Service at Cedar Hill Baptist Church in Cleveland Heights (12601 Cedar Rd.). We are thankful to the congregation there for letting us use their building!
There will not be any children's ministry classes, but kids of all ages are welcome in the service.
New Year’s Eve with Parkside Westside
Then, on Sunday, December 31, there will be not be a morning service at John Hay, but we’ll be joining our sister church Parkside Church Westside in Lakewood (16511 Hilliard Rd.) for their Sunday morning services. They have services at 9am and 10:30am.
A couple of details on Parkside Westside that may be helpful: during the 9am service, our kids are welcome at their nursery, and during the 10:30am service, they have a nursery and also a class for toddler-age children. Also, the best place to park is across the street at Harding Middle School.
Again, we are thankful to them for welcoming us and accommodating us!
Back to John Hay in January
All being well, our plan is to resume Sunday morning services at John Hay on Sunday, January 7th.
As we have learned over these past two years, church planting requires a little bit of flexibility :), but we are thankful for God's provision for these two weeks! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
