February Update

Services have started!

Sunday services officially launched on January 23 at John Hay Campus High School. It has been a joy to gather together to worship, learn from the Bible, and get to know each other more and more. It's also been really encouraging to see so many people serving in different roles to make everything happen. If you haven't had a chance to join us yet for a service, we'd love to have you come! You can find more information on our service here.

Since January 23 was a special day for us, we had photographer Andrew Jordan come to capture it (snowstorm and all ;)). Click the button below to see the album.

First Series: 1 Thessalonians

As a church, we've decided to make our first study the book of 1 Thessalonians. When Paul wrote his letter, the church to whom he was writing was likely only a few months old; one could even call it a church plant. As such, we thought it was the perfect book for us to study as we get going. You can watch the introductory sermon to our study below.

In addition to systematically working our way through 1 Thessalonians on Sundays (if you miss a week, you can access sermons online here), our Community Groups will also be studying it. The idea is to really dwell in the letter as a church, learning as much as we can from it in different contexts. If you're not yet involved in a Community Group (no previous Bible knowledge required!), you can see where our groups are located and sign up for one online.

Children's Ministry

We wanted to let you know that as part of our Sunday services we offer children's ministry from birth - 5th grade. We currently have three classes for kids: nursery (under 3), preschool (3-K), and school-age (grades 1-5). To use any of these classes, you don't need to pre-register, but can just come with your kids on a Sunday and check them in at our children's ministry welcome table. We've intentionally decided not to offer any class for students above 5th grade, as our desire for them is to be exposed to worshiping God with people of all generations.

It takes a lot of volunteers to make this ministry happen, so if you are currently serving on a team, thank you! And if you are interested in serving with children's ministry, or any other service team, you can click on the button below.
