As Christians, to quote Angus Macleay, "the Word is at work within you [and] the world is at work against you". The Word, or message of God, propels us onward and transforms us so we look more and more like Jesus. The world often opposes us, causing us to suffer. Even in the midst of suffering for their faith, however, Christians can take comfort in the fact that they are imitating Jesus, Paul, and many other believers who have gone before, and can know that God will make all things right in the end.
