Fresh off returning from a ministry trip, Jesus' apostles are invited by him to get away and rest, only to be interrupted by a crowd. In the scenes that unfold in Mark 6:30-56, Jesus reveals both his power to do anything he wants, but also his compassion and mercy; his willingness to act on behalf of those he loves.
